Hello my friends, my name is Max. I’m saddened to inform you all that this blog makes very little mention of the multitudinous similarities between horses and men, and instead primarily centres on the observations of a pretentious teenage boy in his twenties. The name is a nod to my old creative writing Instagram account “ahorseislikeaman”— a quote from my favourite Borat sketch— which many of you have kindly followed and supported over the years. Hopefully, by using this new format I’ll be able to motivate myself to share more of the nonsense I feel compelled to spew to the world, as Instagram’s posting mechanism was really a big faff. Anyway, do have a browse of what I’ve had to say over the years, and please enjoy your time here.

Side note: Since deciding on the name of this blog, I have been informed that ‘verisimilitude’ does not simply mean ‘similarity’, but rather ‘similarity to reality.’ As such, the name does not make any sense. However, BoSHM doesn’t have quite the same ring to it, so I’m not changing it and that’s final :P.
